Football Recap: South Choctaw Academy Beats Patrician Academy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

South Choctaw Academy extended their postseason success on Thursday against Patrician Academy. They were the clear victors by a 40-14 margin over the Saints. Considering the Rebels have won eight contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Dawson Sikes was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 103 yards on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Choctaw Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 373 rushing yards. They are 7-2 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Patrician Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Remington Faile, who rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lindsey, who gained 60 total yards and a touchdown.

The win (which was South Choctaw Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Patrician Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.

Looking ahead, South Choctaw Academy will challenge Abbeville Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Patrician Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
