Softball Recap: Brown County Eagles vs. Indian Creek Braves

Brown County extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 3-6 in the process. They came up short against the Indian Creek Braves, falling 11-1. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Braves from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Brown County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cami Keaton, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

As for Indian Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

On Indian Creek's side, Kristen Soots was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Jackie Hammond also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Coming up, Brown County is taking a road trip to face off against South Ripley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Indian Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenfield-Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
