Volleyball Preview: Indian Trail Hawks vs. Racine Case Eagles

The Indian Trail Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Racine Case Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Indian Trail sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Kenosha Christian Life. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Indian Trail who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Racine Case got the win against Racine Park on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 25-18.

Allison Kirchenberg went supernova for Racine Case, getting eight digs and eight aces. The dominant performance gave Kirchenberg a new career-high in aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Webster, who had nine digs and two aces.

She wasn't the only good server: Racine Case was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Indian Trail has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Racine Case, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11.
