Baseball Recap: Tri-County Victorious

Tri-County won the last time they faced North Newton and things went their way on Friday too. The Cavaliers walked away with a 5-2 win over the Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Grayson Schneider was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Pratt, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Tri-County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Newton, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Tri-County will be playing at home against Clinton Prairie at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Newton, they will head out on the road to face off against Rensselaer Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bombers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
