Football Recap: Steele Canyon Comes Up Short

Steele Canyon extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-3. They lost 35-10 to the Granite Hills Eagles. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gavin Caha threw for 197 yards on 13 of 23 attempts. Jacob Henton was his top target, picking up 109 receiving yards. On the ground, Dreyvione Lewis rushed for 56 yards and one TD.

As for Granite Hills, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average over those games.

Zachary Benitez had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 197 yards and four touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Isaiah Rodriquez was Benitez's top target, picking up 39 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

As of now, neither Steele Canyon nor Granite Hills have any future games scheduled.
