Paxton-Buckley-Loda won the last time they faced Watseka and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers blew past the Warriors 12-5. Considering the Panthers have won four games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tyler Cole made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Paxton-Buckley-Loda is 4-1 when Cole allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Cole was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Watseka only managed three hits.

Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Watseka, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
Coming up, Paxton-Buckley-Loda will head out to square off against Hoopeston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Cornjerkers at the right time seeing as the Cornjerkers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Watseka, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against St. Thomas More on the 9th.
