Recap: Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves vs. Indianapolis Lutheran Saints
In what's become a running theme this season, the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They put the hurt on Indianapolis Lutheran with a sharp 73-52 win. Winning may never get old, but Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Evan Haywood continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Javawn Brooks, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Indianapolis Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Lj Ward, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Raishaun Mchaney, who scored 12 points.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will challenge Park Tudor at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 contests -- so hopefully Park Tudor likes a good challenge. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Perry Meridian at 7:30 p.m. Indianapolis Lutheran is facing Perry Meridian at the right time seeing as Perry Meridian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
