Volleyball Game Preview: Simla Cubs vs. Hoehne Farmers

The Simla Cubs will be taking part in a tournament against the Hoehne Farmers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Simla will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Simla got the win against Wiggins by a conclusive 3-0.

While Simla won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.

Simla found their leader in sophomore Ava Leininger, who had 27 digs and one assist. Those 27 digs set a new season-high mark for Leininger.

Meanwhile, Hoehne beat Rocky Ford 3-1 on Tuesday. The Farmers haven't had any issues with the Meloneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Simla's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Hoehne, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Simla took their victory against Hoehne in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cubs repeat their success, or do the Farmers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
