Basketball Game Preview: Parker Thundering Herd vs. Huffman Vikings + How To Watch

Parker hasn't had much luck against Huffman recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Thundering Herd will head out to take on the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Parker's tournament run continued when they took on Hayden on Tuesday. The Thundering Herd took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Huffman lost to Vestavia Hills on the road by a 63-47 margin on Wednesday.

Parker will need to focus on slowing down Antonio Hill, one of several Huffman players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6-for-14 to rack up 16 points and six boards. The game was Hill's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. William Sanders was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Huffman's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Parker, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Parker couldn't quite finish off Huffman in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 and fell 69-67. Can the Thundering Herd avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
