Volleyball Recap: Knob Noster's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Knob Noster duked it out with Smith-Cotton on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Knob Noster took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-27, 24-26, 25-21, 15-9.

Knob Noster's loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-16-2. As for Smith-Cotton, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-18-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Knob Noster will challenge Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smith-Cotton, they will venture away from home to take on Boonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
