It was a good run, but McDonogh unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Mount St. Joseph Gaels, falling 18-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 5-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

McDonogh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Moore, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Moore also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

McDonogh's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mount St. Joseph, their record is now 9-4.

Coming up, McDonogh is taking a road trip to face off against Annapolis Area Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount St. Joseph, they will square off against Wantagh at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gaels are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Warriors a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
