Basketball Game Preview: Edison Vikings vs. Fresno Christian Eagles

The Edison Vikings will take on the Fresno Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Edison's tournament run continued when they took on Lodi on Saturday. Edison fell 66-55 to Lodi. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Edison saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zo Ward went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ward has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tytus Billingsly, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Fresno Christian entered their tilt with Clovis on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Cougars with a 71-66 win.

Edison's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for Fresno Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
