It was a good run, but Jackson unfortunately witnessed the end of their 23-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights, falling 3-0. The Fighting Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Knights earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Jackson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Incarnate Word Academy work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-18.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 33-2. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson will host Eureka at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they will welcome Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
