Football Recap: Southwest Edgecombe Takes Down Southwest Onslow in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and SouthWest Edgecombe had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Southwest Onslow Stallions a 50-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four games by 29 points or more so far this season.

A big part of SouthWest Edgecombe's win came down to the chemistry between Devion Mayo Jr and his top target Justin Bridgers. Mayo Jr threw for 127 yards and four TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes while Bridgers picked up 73 receiving yards and three touchdowns. SouthWest Edgecombe is undefeated when Bridgers posts two or more receiving touchdowns, but 3-5 otherwise.
