Volleyball Recap: Johnson Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Desi Hoskins and Natalie Davila

Johnson lost against Georgetown back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Johnson sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 19-25, 25-14.

Natalie Davila and Desi Hoskins certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Davila had 17 digs and three aces, while Hoskins had 12 digs. Davila has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Georgetown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will venture away from home to take on Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Georgetown, they will take on Liberty Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
