Baseball Recap: Fallbrook Takes a Loss

Fallbrook extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-14-1. They came up short against the Westview Wolverines, falling 17-1. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Fallbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Clapp, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As for Westview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

On Westview's side, Charles Jaskowiak made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Jaskowiak a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Joseph Arango-Manley was excellent, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2025. Caleb Hardy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fallbrook will square off against rival Poway at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Westview is set to take on their familiar foe Valley Center at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
