Volleyball Recap: Fremont Christian Comes Up Short

Fremont Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Quarry Lane Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Fremont Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-23, 25-20.

Fremont Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Quarry Lane, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Looking ahead, Fremont Christian will face off against Contra Costa Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quarry Lane, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Central Catholic on the 11th.
