Baseball Game Preview: Dunedin Falcons vs. East Lake Eagles

The Dunedin Falcons will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the East Lake Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Falcons fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They skirted past Lakewood 5-3. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Noah Cleveland looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Armando Monday was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Will Fallon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, East Lake was able to grind out a solid victory over Largo on Tuesday, taking the game 5-1.

Dunedin was able to grind out a solid win over East Lake in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dunedin since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
