Volleyball Recap: Westbury Takes a Loss

Westbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rhinos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-16.

Westbury's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Westbury is set to face off against their familiar foe Waltrip at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carnegie Vanguard will take on rival Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
