Basketball Recap: Carolina Academy Falls to Camden Military in First Game of Season

Carolina Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 46-25 to the Camden Military Spartans on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bobcats have suffered since November 21, 2024.

Camden Military's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryson Brooks, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Smoak, who put up 14 points.

Camden Military has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Carolina Academy and Camden Military will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Bobcats see the court they'll take on Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on December 5. As for Camden Military, their break will end when they face Lee Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
