Kimberly is 9-1 against Gooding since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Senators at 7:00 p.m. Gooding took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Kimberly, who comes in off a win.
While Kimberly's win against Filer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Wildcats since October 12, 2023.
Kimberly had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 20-25, 29-27, 25-16, 15-10.
Meanwhile, Gooding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Buhl, falling 3-0.
Gooding took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.
Kimberly's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-7. As for Gooding, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
Everything went Kimberly's way against Gooding in their previous matchup back in September, as Kimberly made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Senators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
