Recap: Northview Knights vs. South Putnam Eagles
The Northview Knights lost to the South Putnam Eagles back in January of 2023, but the Northview Knights didn't allow the South Putnam Eagles the same satisfaction on Friday. Northview took down South Putnam 62-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Northview.
Northview found their leader in underclassman Brayden Goff, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten rebounds, and 13 assists. Goff has been hot recently, having posted eight or more assists the last three times he's played. Peyton Mccullom was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
South Putnam's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cam Bozell, who scored 12 points along with three steals, and Drew Hill who scored 13 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Parker Harris, who scored four points along with three steals.
Northview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for South Putnam, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Northview won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Plainfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Plainfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northview in Indiana (Plainfield is ranked 33rd, while Northview is ranked 278th). As for South Putnam, they will head out on the road to face off against Cascade at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cascade focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.
