Basketball Recap: Lutheran West Comes Up Short

Lutheran West lost against Cornerstone Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lutheran West Longhorns fell 48-37 to the Cornerstone Christian Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Patriots are ranked 155th).

Lutheran West's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Cornerstone Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Lutheran West won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cuyahoga Heights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lutheran West is facing Cuyahoga Heights at the right time seeing as Cuyahoga Heights is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will face off against John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
