Basketball Recap: Saint James Gets the Win

Saint James's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 52-51 victory over the Mercersburg Academy Storm. The win almost wasn't to be: the Saints were down 44-30 in the third quarter.

Saint James found their leader in sophomore Tenley Mullendore, who posted 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mullendore has scored all season. Lauran Finn was another key player, putting up eight points and nine boards.

Saint James was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Saint James' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Mercersburg Academy, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

Saint James has already played their next match (against Fort Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mercersburg Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Blair Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
