Volleyball Recap: Champions Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Champions Christian Academy lost against Excel Christian Academy last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lions fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2.

Champions Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Excel Christian Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 19-25, 23-25, 15-4.

Champions Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Excel Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 3-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Champions Christian Academy will take on Candlelight Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Excel Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Hillsborough Baptist on the 30th.
