Volleyball Recap: Collinwood Starts Season with Loss at Home

Collinwood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Max S. Hayes Lakers on Monday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Collinwood had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-21.

Max S. Hayes' victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Collinwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against John Marshall on the 9th. As for Max S. Hayes, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against East Tech on the 9th.
