Terra Nova posted their closest win since April 22, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Lowell Cardinals. The two-run effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Terra Nova's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was JT Snead, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Snead hit this season.

Terra Nova was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.

The victory got Terra Nova back to even at 2-2-1. As for Lowell, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terra Nova will square off against Hillsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lowell, they will face off against Washington at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25 runs per game on average), something Lowell will no doubt try to take advantage of.
