Baseball Game Preview: West Fork Tigers vs. Elkins Elks

West Fork hasn't had much luck against Elkins recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will face off against the Elks at 4:00 p.m. West Fork has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. West Fork came up short against Green Forest, falling 12-4.

Konnor Kirk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Elliot Holiday also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Elkins lost 7-1 to Booneville on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Elks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

West Fork's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Elkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

West Fork might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Elkins in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
