South Elgin came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Glenbard North Panthers by a score of 2-0. The Storm were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Storm were just returning the favor.

While South Elgin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Ethan Howell and Luka Jovanovic, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Damian Hernandez and his 11 assists. Finally, Jovanovic was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

South Elgin's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Glenbard North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.
