Basketball Recap: East Iberville Find Success

The East Iberville Tigers were able to grind out a solid victory over the Prairieville Hurricanes on Thursday, taking the game 58-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

East Iberville found their leader in sophomore Jordan Scharnett Jr., who shot 82% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Joseph, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 13 points and six boards.

East Iberville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Prairieville, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, East Iberville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dutchtown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Prairieville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East St. John at 7:00 p.m. on December 11.
