Baseball Recap: Prescott's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Prescott waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Mohave Thunderbirds as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won three matchups by 13 runs or more so far this season.

William Horn made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Horn was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ivan Schuster and Nick Martin did most of the damage at the plate: Schuster scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Martin scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Martin has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Whitwell, who scored a run.

Prescott was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Prescott now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mohave, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Prescott wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Agua Fria on the 24th. As for Mohave, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Lake Havasu on the 19th.
