Softball Recap: Rigby Comes Up Short

Rigby managed to slip by Thunder Ridge the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 22-1 to the Titans on Tuesday. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Madi Jensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Rigby and nudges their season record down to 15-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 18-5-1 Highland (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.5% over those games). As for Thunder Ridge, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11-1.

Rigby didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 victory against Madison on the 5th. As for Thunder Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-5 loss against Highland on the 5th.
