Volleyball Recap: Drew Schnabel Key Part of Team Effort in Monarchs Win

After losing to Millard North the last time they met, Papillion-LaVista decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Monarchs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mustangs on Monday.

While Papillion-LaVista won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18.

Papillion-LaVista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Schnabel led the charge by getting six digs and two aces. That's the most digs Schnabel has posted over her last four matches. Mia Torchia was another key player, getting 12 assists and six digs.

Papillion-LaVista's record now sits at 10-16. As for Millard North, their loss dropped their record down to 16-15.

Papillion-LaVista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Papillion-LaVista South on the 20th. Millard North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
