Soccer Game Preview: Metamora vs. Rochester

Metamora is 1-7 against Rochester since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Redbirds will look to defend their home pitch against the Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Metamora is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Pekin on Monday. The Redbirds fell 2-0 to the Dragons.

Meanwhile, Rochester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbia.

Rochester's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Metamora, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6-2.
