Volleyball Recap: Stoughton Takes a Loss

Stoughton lost against Mansfield back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Black Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.

Stoughton's offense was headlined by Imani Ashu and Jacqueline Boutros, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ayla Huang and her nine assists. Ashu was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Stoughton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Mansfield, with the win, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Stoughton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Canton on the 20th. As for Mansfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against North Attleborough on the 17th.
