Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marines of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-17, 25-11.

Caroline Hirschy was the offensive standout of the contest as she had six aces and five digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Hamilton will face off against Bethany Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they will venture away from home to challenge Whitko at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
