The Keller Indians will venture away from home to take on the V.R. Eaton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keller has given up an average of 37.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Keller took a loss when they played away from home back in October, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They slipped by Timber Creek 37-36. The victory was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Brock Burkett, who rushed for 144 yards and one score on only 13 carries, and also threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns. Those 144 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Ralph Crosby was in the mix too, providing Keller with two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Keller was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Keller's defensive line and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kaiden McCauley, Freddy Atamah, and Breckin Rogers, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Timber Creek's side was McCauley, who picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (5.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, V.R. Eaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Timber Creek. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Keller's record is now 4-5. As for V.R. Eaton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Keller didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against V.R. Eaton in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
