Scott lost to Bracken County two weeks ago, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Scott had just enough and edged out Bracken County 9-8.

Scarlett Cochran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emerson Morman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Manhardt, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Scott's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Bracken County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Coming up, Scott will square off against Conner at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bracken County, they will venture away from home to challenge Fleming County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
