The Friendship Christian Commanders are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Eagleville Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Friendship Christian will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Last Wednesday, Friendship Christian had just enough and edged Summertown out 10-8.
Hayden Holleman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Eagleville let Nathan Brown and Brayden Baker loose on the outfield. Brown went 3-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a run, while Baker scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Marshall Spann, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Friendship Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Eagleville, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster.
