Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets came up short against the Bishop Fenwick Falcons on Saturday and fell 3-1.

Hunter Thompson paced Mt. Vernon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Thompson got some help from Isaiah Campbell and his 25 assists. Brysen Armstrong controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mt. Vernon now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bishop Fenwick, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Vernon is taking a road trip to square off against Bishop Hartley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Fenwick has already played their next game (against St. Charles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
