Softball Recap: Salem Academy Charter Takes a Loss

Salem Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Excel Academy Charter Wolves, falling 27-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-6 defeat on May 3rd.

Julis Alix and Crisbel Viscioso stepped up to the plate in a big way. Alix went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Viscioso went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. Mikayla Jones also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Salem Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Excel Academy Charter, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Salem Academy Charter will challenge Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Excel Academy Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
