Volleyball Recap: Jaelyn Wilkerson Key Part of Team Effort in Knights Win

After losing to Pleasant View Christian the last time they met, Lancaster Christian Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-16.

Lancaster Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaelyn Wilkerson led the charge by getting 13 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Wilkerson has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Abigail Geerts, who had six digs, five kills, five aces, and one block.

They weren't the only good servers: Lancaster Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive matchups.

Lancaster Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Pleasant View Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3-1.

Lancaster Christian Academy has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Highland Rim Academy on the 17th. Pleasant View Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
