Softball Game Preview: Church Point Bears vs. Mamou Demons

Church Point is 1-9 against Mamou since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bears will host the Demons at 5:30 p.m. This will be Church Point's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Last Tuesday, Church Point came up short against Opelousas Catholic and fell 6-1. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Church Point saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Halle Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That run was Miller's first of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mamou). They never let Starks get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Demons as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Church Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mamou, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
