Recap: Cabrillo Conquistadores vs. Mission College Prep Royals

There's no place like home for the Cabrillo Conquistadores, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They skirted past Mission College Prep 37-35. For Cabrillo, this counts as revenge for the 55-47 defeat Mission College Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Rylie Jenkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Natalie McCune was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.

Cabrillo pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mission College Prep, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cabrillo will challenge Morro Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Morro Bay is ranked 253rd, while Cabrillo is ranked 241st). As for Mission College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against San Luis Obispo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
