East Lyme scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 18-15 to the Plainfield Panthers. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Natalie Knowlton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Mia Lloyd was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

East Lyme's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Plainfield, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, East Lyme will face off against Norwich Free Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plainfield, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bacon Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
