Basketball Game Preview: Pulaski County Maroons vs. Southwestern Warriors

Pulaski County hasn't had much luck against Southwestern recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pulaski County Maroons will head out to take on the Southwestern Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Pulaski County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Pulaski County will head into Friday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 54-point drubbing they dealt Somerset on Friday. Pulaski County breezed by Somerset to the tune of 70-16. The Maroons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southwestern, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They slipped by Corbin 52-51 on Saturday.

Southwestern's win came from a few key players Pulaski County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mckaila Monroe, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Molden, who went 6 for 13 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Southwestern has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Pulaski County, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
