It was a good run, but Edgewood Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. The match between them and the Springwood Wildcats didn't end well, with the Edgewood Academy Wildcats falling 57-40. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against Edgewood Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-39 back in December of 2024.

Edgewood Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shalexia Little, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Little's morning made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Patillo, who had 15 points and seven rebounds.

Edgewood Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. As for Springwood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Edgewood Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-14 victory against Trinity Christian on the 31st. As for Springwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-28 win against Chambers Academy on the 31st.
