Basketball Recap: Barstow's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Barstow had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-50 victory over the Lawndale Cardinals. That's two games straight that the Aztecs have won by exactly 18 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Barstow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joesph Ruesga, who posted 21 points. Ruesga's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Jayden Childs was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Barstow now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lawndale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Barstow will venture away from home to challenge University Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aztecs will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.14 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lawndale, they will take on Gardena in a tournament on Monday.
