Service faced Bettye Davis East Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Service was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Jaelyn Lorenzo, who had ten digs and four assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played. Caedra Horton also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Service was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last ten matches.

The win made it two in a row for Service and bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for Bettye Davis East Anchorage, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
