Football Game Preview: Severance Silver Knights vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions

The Severance Silver Knights will venture away from home to take on the Mountain View Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Severance and seven for Mountain View.

On Friday, Severance took a blow against Roosevelt, falling 41-6.

Meanwhile, Mountain View fell victim to Pomona and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Panthers are ranked 23rd).

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Severance, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Severance took their victory against Mountain View in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 22-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Silver Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
